How to promote a Roblox game with TikTok, Reels and Shorts creators
This is not a guide to Roblox avatar items. It is a guide to short videos that show your experience and send people to try it. The creator films their own session, says the video is an ad, and does not push purchases at children. Pay can be per 1,000 views, per post, or a fixed fee plus views. At UGC Pocket it is the last of those, inside a campaign our team scripts.
First, which UGC are we talking about?
On Roblox, UGC usually means items players create for avatars: hats, faces, accessories, sold in the marketplace. Search suggestions for "Roblox UGC" point at those items. This article does not. It answers a different query: how to promote a Roblox game on TikTok, and the same idea on Reels and Shorts.
If the asset you want seen is an item, this is the wrong page. If the asset is an experience people can join, keep reading. The wider mobile-game version, beyond Roblox, is UGC for mobile games.
Why short videos matter for a Roblox game
Roblox reported 123 million daily active users in the second quarter of 2026, up 10% year on year (shareholder letter, 30 July 2026). The same letter says the company's updated search and discovery algorithm helped new games move from release to top experiences. That sentence is about discovery inside Roblox. It is not a claim that TikTok, Reels or Shorts deliver a measured share of joins. We do not have a primary figure for that share, so we do not print one.
A short video still does a job the in-game algorithm cannot do for you: it shows a session to someone who is not already in Roblox, on an account the creator already posts from. The viewer can then search the experience by name. That is a hypothesis about the path, not a conversion rate.

Formats that suit a Roblox game
These are brief shapes. None of them requires a Roblox logo on screen, and none of them is a promise about views.
- First session. The creator joins with a fresh account and reacts to the opening. You say which tutorial steps matter.
- A challenge. One named goal: a clear, a speed run, a limit they set themselves.
- An obstacle course, cleared or failed. The fail is allowed. The brief says whether a fail is the video or only a step toward a clear.
- Rare pets or items. Only items the creator actually obtained in that session. No borrowed footage of a drop they did not earn.
- A duel with a friend. Two people, same rules, both on their own accounts if both are in the campaign.
- An update. The new mode or event, filmed on the live version, with a list of what must not leak.
Opening lines you can adapt are in UGC hooks. A full brief structure is in the UGC brief template.
Brief rules worth copying
Three rules worth writing into the brief:
- The creator films their own session. No repost of someone else's highlight.
- The video is original. Their play, their words, their edit.
- The video says it is an ad when the creator is paid. The mention is on the video, not only in a caption.
On 24 October 2026, a public Roblox game campaign on Content Rewards, filed as original UGC rather than clipping, showed two requirements without an account: "Must record your own gameplay" and "Original content required: your gameplay, narration, editing, or creative concept." Clipping campaigns on the same platform are the other product: cut and repost. The difference is set out in game clipping or UGC.

Young audiences: what changes
Among Roblox users who had completed an age check, in the seven days ended 30 June 2026, 35% were under 13, 38% were 13 to 17, and 27% were 18 or over. By the end of that quarter, 57% of global daily active users had age-checked, so this split describes age-checked users, not every account. Source: the same shareholder letter, footnote.
A brief for this audience changes in three practical ways. The tone stays suitable for children who will see the video. A paid video carries a clear advertising mention. The script does not push in-game purchases, Robux, or limited items at children. We do not cite a statute number here: read the current text of the rule that applies in your market before you freeze the brief.
Paying creators: per view, per post, or fixed plus views
Public campaigns do not share one rate. On the Content Rewards campaign cited above, the card on 24 October 2026 showed $1.00 per 1,000 views and a maximum payout of $500 per video, on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. That is an example from that page on that day. It is not a market rate, and campaign budgets on the same site move daily, so we do not republish them.
The platform itself, the same day, also offers per-post pay and a retainer, and a pool that splits a budget by views. See how content rewards work for the model, outside any one game.
At UGC Pocket the pay is a fixed fee per validated challenge, plus a variable part per 1,000 views, paid with the fixed fee once the cumulative view threshold is reached and the closing is validated. Our team builds the campaign and writes the scripts. Creators publish on their own accounts. For the studio, the public price is from €2,000 per campaign, no subscription, price and terms set out in the commercial proposal.
Free channels, if the query is "promote a Roblox game free"
A creator campaign is not the only door, and it is not the first one for a game with no budget.
- Discord servers that already play your genre. One useful post beats a blast to servers that did not ask.
- Reddit communities for Roblox development and for the genre. Read the rules of the subreddit before you post a link.
- Roblox groups and update posts inside the experience, for people who already joined.
- Roblox ads. The platform sells them. See the Ads Manager documentation, loaded 24 October 2026.
None of these replaces a video of a real session when you later pay for one. They are where a studio with no media budget can still be found.
FAQ
Does Roblox UGC mean avatar items?
Yes. On Roblox the word UGC usually means items players create for avatars. This article is about something else: short videos that promote a Roblox game on TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
Should creators repost gameplay they did not record?
No. The useful rule, also written on a public game campaign we read on Content Rewards on 24 October 2026, is that the creator records their own gameplay and the video is original.
What changes with a young audience?
Among Roblox users who had age-checked, in the seven days ended 30 June 2026, 35% were under 13, 38% were 13 to 17, and 27% were 18 or over. A paid video needs a clear advertising mention. The brief does not push in-game purchases at children.
How are creators paid for a Roblox game video?
On a self-serve clipping platform, pay is often a rate per 1,000 views with a cap. One public campaign we read on 24 October 2026 showed $1 per 1,000 views and a $500 maximum per video. That figure is an example from that day, not a standard rate. At UGC Pocket, pay is a fixed fee per validated challenge plus a variable part per 1,000 views. The brand price is from €2,000 per campaign, no subscription, price and terms set out in the commercial proposal.
How can I promote a Roblox game without a media budget?
Post in Discord servers and Roblox groups that already play your genre, share the experience on Reddit, and use the discovery tools inside Roblox. Roblox also sells ads. See the Ads Manager documentation.
